Some of the
best Jyotish remedies are found in our kitchen! Isn't that interesting? So,
which food brings us luck, fortune and a healthy and prosperous life? Which food
item, we need to eat to strengthen or appease a particular planet in our vedic
charts? It is said that your luck and fortune is in youtr plate ,that which you eat.

Haldi Ubtan (Paste of turmeric, using haldi, milk, etc) is applied on
a girl who's going to be married, to strengthen Jupiter. One should, apply haldi
in day to day life also, on face to have a glow as well as to gain the benefits
provided by Jupiter.
If
Jupiter is bad in the chart, then marriage will not be very fruitful, you might
also have dry skin and probably, decay of some organ of the body. In that case,
also, do Haldi chawal daan and apply Haldi paste on skin. If you catch up with
cold frequently, then in a glass of milk, mix 25 gm haldi and some mishri and
drink it often. If Jupiter sits in 1st, 3rd, 7th or 11th house of the chart,
hormonal problems can arise, for that, again, drink Milk mixed with a pinch of
Haldi. If it is bad and powerful at the same time, Jaundice may occur. In that
case, do Haldi daan and eat haldi mixed in milk as
well.

Jalebi
or Jalebhi (A Round Indian Sweet-dish in the shape of a coil):
Having
one Jalebhi daily in the morning, is a very good astrological remedy to
strengthen the planet Venus. Women, who're unable to conceive, this use of
Jalebhi helps them to a great extent. Men, with some chemical imbalances, can
also experiment with it. Eating Jalebhi also brings glow on the face. If you are
diabetic, please consult your doctor before having it, or you may also eat a
sugar-free Jalebi.
Makhana:
Another way to strengthen Shukra or Venus is to eat Makhanas in any
form. You will achieve bliss and be able to enjoy life better. You can eat
Makhana kheer if you want. It will give you energy and confidence
too.
Wheat: If you're suffering
from problems related to the planet Surya or Sun, donate wheat, specially, if
your Sun is in 2nd , 7th or 8th house. Do some jal pravaah of Gehu (wheat) on
Sundays and donate some wheat to a needy or a place of worship. If you're
suffering from acidity problems, and fill disturbed after having anything salty,
then you must do these wheat upaayas. Do the following remedy also to get rid of
the problem of acidity and weak sun:
Take about 5 glasses of water. Add in
it, 250 gms wheat and 250 gms black gram (chana). Boil it till the water reduces
to just 3 cups. Strain, and drink thrice a day, once a weak or more. Wheat
provides magnesium and si very important for health.
Problems related to mercury or Budha can be removed by
including aamla in your diet. If you're facing problems like, bad voice, bad
speaking abilities, bad memory, problems in relationships with siblings and Bua
(paternal aunt), or infection in eyes, then start eating one aamla daily. For
students it is very important as well as for Blood pressure patients and people
with weak bones. If you're suffering from constipation, drink aamla powder with
a glass of milk or water at night before going to sleep.
If you're having any tantra effect at home, or you feel some bad
negative energies in you house, then grow an aamla plant at home and take care
of it well.
Rice: Rice is an important cereal to balance the
planet- Moon. Give your mother some rice along with a piece of silver, your moon
will be strengthened. Offering rice to Ishta Devta, is conisdered very
auspicious. In rice water, mix some black pepper(kaali mirch) and rock salt
(kala namak) and drink it. It will help reduce weight.
Note: To strengthen Saturn, (only, if it is good in
your chart), eat Urad daal otherwise donate it on Saturdays. To strengthen Mars
(only, if it is good for you), then eat Masoor Daal, otherwise, donate it on
Tuesdays.
How to eat food properly?
Never drink water before 30 minutes of having food. Don't drink water
while having food. Never drink water within 30 minutes after food. Don't talk
while having food. Pray to God before and after the meals. Ideal way, is to eat
facing East direction of you house. Eat like you're doing bhakti or saadhna. If
Rahu is bad, on Thursdays, eat food in the kitchen.
Special
Krishna Surya Saptakshari Mantra:
Om
Khakholkaaya Swaaha.
Do
it early morning, after having bath and doing Naadi Shodhan Kriya. In the
morning, face the Sun God in the east, in the afternoon/evening, towards West,
in the night towards, North. Do this mantra and attain peace, and happiness in
all spheres of life. This mantra was given by Lord Shri Krishna.
